OVERVIEW: While Shoppers Critique lists a wide variety of establishments shopped, what is offered will depend on where a shopper lives. It is best to search the job board to determine your specific location and job type offered.
When logging into Shoppers Critique after acceptance as a New Mystery Shopper, the layout of the form is a bit confusing. New Shoppers are giving an “Shopper ID” which is your log in.
Your “Home Page” begins with an overview of general instructions such as getting paid, spam alert information, tips for communicating with SCI and additional important news. To the left is your “Mystery Shopping Record”.
To search for shops, simply click on the link for “AVAILABLE SHOPS”. A list of “Self-Scheduling” or “Available” will appear. A shopper is able to self-assign any shops under the Self-Scheduling, or apply/request for a shop under the “Available” listing. In order to reach self-scheduling status, you will need to complete a couple of jobs for Shoppers Critique and have a high rating. However, this Reviewer has noticed that jobs are difficult to get because they are very popular and are snatched off the job board almost immediately.
As with all Mystery Shopping Jobs, it is extremely important for Shoppers to review all of the guidelines. Guidelines may change from month to month. When you sign up or are scheduled for a job from SCI, the job automatically shows up on the front page of your “Home Page”. You are normally given several days to perform the shop. It is advisable to not wait until the last minute to perform the job. Shops are due to be submitted by midnight on the day they are performed however, it may also vary depending on a particular job. It is best to confer with your guidelines to find out correct information.
This Reviewer has also found that the Schedulers are extremely easy to work with. A simple email to your scheduler (listed in your guidelines) is normally answered within 12-18 hours. Be sure to include the Job ID, your ID and pertinent information in the email when communicating with your scheduler.
At http://mysteryshopforum.com there are some shoppers who thoroughly enjoy Shoppers Critique and others who may have had bad experiences. The general consensus is Shoppers Critique International is a good company; they pay in a timely manner, their forms need to be updated, and some of the low paying jobs (such as phone shops for $2.00) are not worth the survey for such a small amount of pay.
