OVERVIEW: BARE International uses the “Sassie” platform, popular to many of the Mystery Shopping companies. There is a job board, search function and the ability to check available jobs in many parts of the country you reside. If you are planning a trip, a shopper can also locate jobs available at their destination.
BARE International staffers – Schedulers and Mystery Shopping Personnel – are very accommodating to shoppers. It is advisable to always keep in contact with the person or persons involved in a Shoppers job. If there are problems, contact the scheduler. Most often the Scheduler’s office phone number will be in the Job Acceptance email. This Reviewer has spoken numerous times on the telephone with BARE Schedulers and has received nothing but helpful, friendly, quick attention to questions and/or problems.
Surveys for various jobs range from just a few narratives to an entire survey of narratives. This Reviewer has had difficulty with an Editor for BARE, but a quick email to the Scheduler resolved the problem and was immediately brought to the attention to the entire team of Editors.
As with all jobs accepted by Mystery Shoppers (for any Company), reviewing the guidelines and contacting your Scheduler with questions or concerns is forefront in becoming a great “reliable” shopper for BARE. Communication is the key word when applying for, accepting, performing and completing the shop survey.
This Reviewer has performed well over 250 shops in six months for BARE International. I’ve had no problems what-so-ever with anyone in this company and have thoroughly enjoyed all of the jobs I’ve performed. Emails sent for clarification to BARE Employees are answered within 24 hours (unless it is the weekend) and they are polite, answer my questions, and help me with any problems I experience. For USA Shoppers, the Corporate Office is located in Fairfax, Virginia, and shoppers have been invited to visit and meet the staff.
SHOP TYPE: Financial Institutions, Hotel, Resort & Casinos, Retail, Grocery, Health & Wellness, Golf Courses, Country Clubs, Housing (New homes & Property Management), Automotive (Sales and Services), Restaurants, Transportation and Consumer Electronics. However, these may vary depending on your location as a shopper.
PAY RANGE: The pay range will vary depending on the job type, location, and a shopper’s location. Many telephone shops will pay at $7.00. Retail shops may go up to $10-15.00. Educational and Financial Institutions, along with various Health and Wellness shops may pay beginning at $25.00 and up.
PAY PERIOD: This Reviewer has completed over 250 shops for BARE (the majority being telephone shops with a pay of $7.00 per phone survey) and the pay period has been 30-45 days after the completion of the shop. For example, shops completed in February 2012 were paid by March 15th 2012; and shops completed in March 2012 were paid by April 15th, 2012. BARE has paid by both check and direct deposit.

I have been shopping for Bare for about 14 months and have completed over 1000 projects for them. The program managers are easy to work with on the projects, assignments are flexible when arranged with the program managers, and most importantly, they pay on time through paypal. I have not had any issues with this company and would recommend it highly to others who are looking for a great experience.

Great! Well that is great news because I have just started working for this company and I was wondering how well did they pay the shopper. I will have my first assignment this Wednesday.
just going to start mystery shopping whitch companys or places do I sign on to help please . I read a lot of articles but I guess until you start out it looks difficult . Do I need any certification to start out . Thank YOU FRANK
I have issue with payment through bank transfer. More of that, coordinator of my country (Russia) does not reply at all. Happily, I’ve just tried Bare, not 1000 evaluations like Mike. Happily more, there are companies that pay, unlike Bare.
Bare International is at the top of my mystery shopping company list. I have over 7 years of mystery shopping experience. I like that I have a relationship with the schedulers for my area. I call them if I have a problem or question. They know my phone number and voice.
I like the variety of shops and they pay fair for the work I complete. I like that they list the assignment with a fair pay. With this company I do not have to wait for the job bonuses to get fair pay for the work.
This company is rated AAA by me.
I also like working with BARE. I’ve found the pay to be higher than average and on schedule. Even more important (to me, anyway): The scheduler’s and editor’s are flexible and won’t send you “nasty” e-mails if your a few minutes late or need to reschedule an assignment (although it should not be done too often–only under special circumstances–as they have deadlines to meet).
